Morgan Campbell began writing on international development and policy while living first in Trinidad, and then Strasbourg, France. Morgan holds a BA in English, an MA in Critical Theory, and has editorial experience in a diverse range of subjects. She is currently pursuing a degree in Urban Planning and recently returned from Chennai, India where she was conducting research on issues of climate change, sustainability, and socio-cultural patterns of development. Tracy Floyd is an award-winning graphic designer and web developer. As founder and owner of Coalesce, a design and development consultancy, he has worked with companies in a wide range of industries. Since its inception in 2004, Coalesce has been building custom web applications and creating innovative websites. At this time Tracy is designing and programming MediaGlobal’s Web television portal, GlobalSouthTV.org.
Leslie Pitterson graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in History and Journalism. She has studied at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, focusing on media in the developing world and Cold War studies. With a background in communications and development, Leslie has dedicated her time to working for the public sector, non-profits, and charities. Stephanie Rivers is in-charge of Business Development at MediaGlobal. She has worked as a fundraiser initially as a consultant and organizer with various political campaigns and later with non-profit organizations in both the Unites States and England, including LULAC, Amnesty International, Haiti Kids, and the NAACP. Additionally, Stephanie served in press and field relations on the Gore 2000 and Kerry 2004 campaigns, and on Congressman Brad Carson’s campaign for the Senate. She first discovered her passion for global issues while studying development issues in Oxford and London between 2002 and 2005, and has since dedicated her time to working with organizations that profile global issues. Tatiana Serafin is a freelance consultant and journalist who worked most recently at Forbes where she wrote about the businesses, billionaires and economies of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She has written for USA Today, The National Interest, Worth and currently has a regular column on mint.com, “Invest Like A Billionaire.” Ms. Serafin comes to journalism after six years with management consultancy, Kaiser Associates, where she advised multinational corporations on strategy and competitive positioning. She has an MA in Business and Economic Reporting from New York University, as well as an MA in Central European and Russian Studies and BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. At MediaGlobal she serves as a pro-bono consultant in developing the organization’s business strategy and outreach programs.
Molly Slothower earned a B.A. with honors from Earlham College in 2008, with majors in Politics and International Studies, and a concentration in Child Protection. She has received grants to explore children’s issues through three overseas independent studies and several internships, including with the Children’s Defense Fund and with the Cambodian Peace and Development Institute. In Indiana, she worked as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children in abuse and neglect cases. Sofia Tillo is currently working on her D.Phil. in Anthropology at Oxford University. She holds a B.A. in Politics & Philosophy from the University of York’s School of PEP, and an M.Phil. in Social and Cultural Anthropology from Oxford. Her special interests include the politics of self-representation, gender, sustainable development, and global health. She has worked as a volunteer life-skills teacher in South Africa, conducted independent research in Mozambique, and organized fundraising for HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns. She has written on an eclectic range of issues, from European soccer to nation-building in Africa.
Amanda Wheat graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in
Communication and Life Sciences. She conducted environmental
conservation research in Central America and later studied
international communication and globalization in Spain. Since
graduating, Amanda has reported for Crain’s NY Business Magazine and
Scholastic Online. As a MediaGlobal correspondent, Amanda focuses on
environmental health and the affects of climate change on developing
